What are some good entry level economics jobs?

with 2 comments

What type of entry level jobs should I be looking for when I graduate with my degree in economics? I would be interested in traveling.

My daughter did a dual major in Economics and Political Science. She is also really interested in transportation. She was offered a job with the state department of transportation as an auditor, to review highway construction projects.

However she declined as she was entering grad school.

An economics degree can qualify you for so many different things it is hard to nail any down specifically. My daughter starts her PhD this fall in civil engineering. To manage the building of transportation systems.

  1. As far as I know most entry level economics positions are basically research/data-gathering (heavy on the statistics) type of jobs and I was looking for something along those lines.
