Why do Americans lack basic common sense? I was in the US for few weeks during my stay one day i went to a convenience shop to buy a pack of cigarrette
When i approached the counter to pay, the attendant asked to show him my ID since i m 24
i showed him my Drivers license issued from my country
( New zealand)
he said i need to see Georgia Drivers license
i said i m a foreigner, he said he needs to see GA license and later refuse to sell me the cigarettes
why cant these people use common sense and look beyond
they think, the entire world is US others with unusual accent are aliens from mars
Just because one American is an idiot doesn’t mean that we all are. If I met one person from New Zealand that was a jerk would it be fair If I thought all people from New Zealand were jerks? Seriously! References :
Actually he could get in trouble if he only accepted your out of country license. People get fined left and right for accepting non-approved idenification types. So he was in fact full of common sense. You on the other hand are ignorant to US policy. References :
