  1. Why do GOP Republican Small Business owners, promote an open border policy, with our neighbors to the South???
It seems both Blue Collar Staters and Corporate America both want to obey existing Border Laws. Leaving only the RedsStater businesses in favor of open borders

  2. Well, some think of the South as business opportunities, but really they don’t have great business. They work well in America but we can give AMERICANS their jobs.

  4. Cheap labor. It is like crack from Heaven to a small business owner. Working people like me have been hurt by businesses blatantly hiring illegals. If US law required businesses to pay a $50,000 fine each time they hired an illegal, all illegals would self-deport (as opposed to being jobless vagrants in a hostile country) and rival businesses would become eager snitches against their cheating competitors. Whereas now, it is a necessity of competition to hire illegals, lest your competition undercut you and run you out of business.

  6. The immigration question is one that cuts across the normal ideological lines. The problem you see is that the government is involved. Whenever the government gets involved in an issue people are divided who otherwise would not be. I support open borders myself. But if the government were not involved it would be a simple property rights issue.

  7. How many here would work for minimim wage? Harvest crops by hand for cheap wages? I see nothing wrong with mexicans crossing the borders for migrant worker jobs. Americans are lazy and would not do it, unless they came up with the lettuce picking union. Then when we buy lettuce it will be like gas, automobiles, etc. Not many could afford it. Let them come in work pay taxes and spend money in the states. Take them back when the season is over.
