What are the qualifications to be a recruitment consultant in the UK?

I have been searching uni websites, collage websites and even the internet to find out the qualifications needed. Are there any qualifications involved to become a recruitment consultant?

A basic degree, 1-2 yrs experience in firms, good communication skills.
