Recruitment is the procedure that a company, Government agency or employment agency follows to employ people. Reasons may be many, but most common reason is opening of a new business, promotions, new vacancy or people need to fill positions of those who have left the organization. Although the main cause of recruiting people by employment agency is to serve any other company but sometimes they also recruit for themselves. This is usually carried out to have sufficient agency staff who can serve clients in a better way.
Every potential employee who want to get a job would have to undergo recruitment process. Recruitment process vary from company to company or business to business. Vacancies are advertised by many means such as advertisements in shops, other companies, newspapers, employment agencies etc. to have many potential candidates for the job. Some recruitment agencies even offer online recruitment. In some cases the information about some job offers is distributed only inside the company for specific employees.
The first step of recruitment process is an online application or advertisement for the candidate. You would need to fill application form once you have passed the first stage of recruitment process. In many government departments and companies you would have to submit the application forms. Then the application forms are shortlisted for an interview. Some companies even conduct second interview for some promising applicants. Then in some companies selection is done after interview but this is not the case always. Before finally offering the job, most of government departments and agencies and some companies require the candidate to go through many other processes.
Most of the companies or organizations ask for a medical of the employee in their recruitment process. If you fail to pass the medical for any reason then the job would not be proposed to you. You would also require a criminal records bureau verification if you want to make a career in teaching, nursing or similar jobs. Only then you would be offered the position in the company. For example, if you are looking for a job or career in police force then you would have to undergo police force recruitment proces that includes psychological testing to check that you are fit for handling and managing hostile situations.
The best position for an aspiring soldier can be ascertained with similar type of tests. In many commercial organizations or professions you would have to remain under training for a specific period of time. Once you pass this training period successfully, you would be endeavored with a permanent position.
Final stage of recruitment process is setting up a mutual agreement or employment package. Such packhage includes details, company pension holiday allowance etc. allowance.
