First, you should be aware of the difference between a work at home ‘opportunity’ and an actual job. Most work at home ‘opportunities’ require large amounts of money upfront, and the majority of them are multilevel marketing scams- in other words, you must refer other people to work under you in order to make money. The only person who really ‘wins’ is the one guy at the top who started it all. I would suggest skipping that altogether. Anything that specifically requires a ‘registration fee’ is a red flag that you’re paying for a program- you’re not getting a job.

However, I really do work a REAL online job. I work part time taking orders for informercials. It’s data entry and customer service. I make about $700- $800 a month. I can honestly tell you it’s good enough to help me pay off some bills, I’m now saving up for a vacation next year BUT I wouldn’t live my life off this money! Now since you say you’re looking for part time, maybe this is something that you would like to do. Most real companies will ask that you pay for your own background check- this is real and it is a requirement especially since you’re handling people’s personal financial info (credit card and address info, etc).

Also I would suggest that when you search for jobs- just check their status with the better business bureau to see if they are legitimate. I posted some links below to get you started. God Bless!

These opportunities are very rare. Just about every internet opportunity asks for some kind of payment even though they claim to be free. take a look at this site. Everything listed on it is free. You should never have to purchase a thing.

Well unfortunately all work from home opportunities do require a start up cost. The question you should be asking is which pays the best and is the cheapest to get into. Call me at 619-550-2872 and I’ll give you the answer. The work at home company I’m working for is an Inc 500 company and has been around for 25 years. Talk to you soon.

You should not have to pay just to work online.

Now, depending on your interests and your skills, you may need to get some additional training or do some reading, but I don’t consider that wasted money as education is always useful.

So, it depends on your experience and what you have to offer to an employer: there is no such things as a free lunch, that means to get paid, you have to do useful work.

For extra guidance on what type of work is right for you, make an inventory of what you like, what you know and what people need. Some guidance on working online and finding work you can do working from home can be found at http://www.vwork.com.
