What is the minimum amount of hours, for a school-enlisted minor in Ontario, to work in order to keep part-time status? The workplace in question is McDonald’s.

Anthing less than 37.5 is considered part-time, doesn’t matter where it it. Work one shift a week and you are working part time.

I want a great medical job for the future and am undecided what to do but would like it to pay good but yet not be on call all the time but then again I don’t want a job where I will be paying a lot for insurance because I don’t want to be sued. Please help me out!!!

Do not become a doctor. First, if doing it for the money you will be miserable. Second, there is no way around liability insurance. There are no specialties exempt from being sued (although obviously the types and severity of suits vary by specialty).

If pay and liability insurance are your main issues, then go into pharmacy or nursing. They pay quite well and pay a whole heck of a lot less in insurance. Although even here, if your main goal is loads of money, you will grow to hate your job.

I want to travel to China next year and base myself in Beijing for 3 months maximum and while there I was wondering is there any job I could find to make some extra money. I would love to teach english as I am a straight A student in English here in my Irish high school but when I travel to Beijing I will only be 17 and I am wondering will this pose any problems as I am not a LEGAL adult.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am willing to take and courses etc I need to.

First off is qualifications. The school will hope to see a degree (which obviously you don’t have yet) and also a TEFL certificate to prove you can teach English. If the school needs a teacher there and then they might be willing to employ you without a degree. This means you will have to arrive in China and literally start knocking on school doors seeing if there’s a job going. If you’re lucky (and persistent) you should pick up something.

I have a job interview at a local grocery store this week, and I was wondering what some common questions in which the interviewer would ask are?
Thanks Chaz! =)

There is one section on this online application that says list your computer skills. I’m unsure what to include. I’m 24 and through schooling and using a computer independently I’m skilled in all of the microsoft office applications: word, powerpoint, and excel. I can type very fast but I’m not sure how many words per minute. I am extremely knowledgeable in using the internet but don’t know if that’s necessary to include. This is for an office job at a local university. I had a previous job in an office and I used microsoft word to type letters and excel to do charts.

If they want to know words per minute, there are probably online websites that can test that and you can put that in your job application, or if you’re just super fast then you might want to put it anyways :-)

Sounds like you should list all the Microsoft Office applications you know how to use, and some of what you did in them so they get a feel for your level of skill in it. Might want to consider some specific examples like making a chart that told how many students were missing classes and reported it out every week … or something like that :-)

I had an interview for a sales job on Thursday. I sent hand-written thank you cards on Thursday to get there the next day. I asked the last person I interviewed with when they were expecting to make a decision. They said they wanted to have a decision made "early next week." Should I follow up this afternoon (Monday), or wait until Tuesday morning? It’s a sales job, so I know they’re probably expecting aggressive, so I want to call in today. However, I don’t want to be annoyingly aggressive.

Call them by Tuesday or Thursday the latest. You do not want to seem to be too eager about the position. In the meanwhile, continue to send out more resumes, it gives you more of a better outlook and choices.
