You should also make sure that you are dressed accordingly and follow the right etiquette while sitting, answering questions and raising doubts.

You should spend enough time in mastering the etiquette to be followed while attending interviews. You should go through the questions which are generally asked and thorough yourselves with similar questions. You must also choose an outfit which would be professional to wear while attending the interview. Soon after all these preparations are over and done with, you can plan for the post interview happenings.

What post interview?

Many people still have a dumb belief that once the interview is over and done with, they cannot do anything till the management makes it decision. However, they fail to understand that though the decision largely depends on the management, there is a part which they also have to play. There are many ways of making sure that you get the job still after the interview is over. A few of the most important ways of impressing your interviewer have been discussed below. These methods are very easy to be implemented in daily life and may prove very useful when it comes to your workspace.

One such way is to take the unconventional way and to express gratitude to the interviewer for providing a prospective job offer. This should be followed particularly if you were not on time for the interview or had a conflict with your schedule while attending the interview. This gesture is considered as an official closing of the job interview by many interviewers. This would improve your prospect of bagging the job in many ways than one.

While leaving the interview room, very often you will have to pass through the other departments of the organization. Make sure you acknowledge the other employees of the organization with a smile and a speedy hello as you leave. This has to be followed especially if your interviewer or a company supervisor is escorting you back. This gesture points out that you are ready and willing to go out of your way to mingle and know about your co-workers. This also shows your team spirit. This would create a very good image of your personality in the mind of your interviewer who might be future boss.

The next thing which you can do is to send a note of thanks with a personal touch. This is better than thank you letters which are pre-prepared. The sooner you send the letter, the better position you would be in. the only thing you have to make sure about in this regard is that your note of thanks should reach the recipient prior to an official decision which would be taken by the management regarding the person who would be taking up the job.

The points discussed above are mere hints which you can use. Practically, there are many other gestures and actions which you can follow in order to take up your dream job. Though these little actions do not guarantee you the job you are attending the interview for, they definitely are worth the effort.
