When you are on the lookout for that dream job, naturally you would look at all the options available. You would tend to think that registering yourself on almost all the recruitment agencies websites would increase your chance of success multifold. After all, isn’t it nice to see your name appearing on so many websites on the big worldwide web ? True, there is no dearth of agencies promising you the best choice of jobs through online recruitment. Mostly people are satisfied just to apply online for a job. They do not research the recruitment agency through whom they hope to find their dream job. The world wide web is home to many excellent employment agencies but also hosts many fake agencies that will lure you into revealing your personal details for their own devious purposes or else, plant viruses on your computer that will have a lot of nuisance value. Therefore, It is prudent that before finding a good job, you find a good recruitment agency since you will have to give them your full personal details as a first step to recruitment. And Heavens forbid, should your personal details fall into wrong hands, you may find yourself robbed of your identity at the drop of a hat. And have only yourself to blame.
The reputation and the trustworthiness of the employment agency is of utmost importance. Remember, you are vulnerable if your personal information is leaked to undesirable elements. The length of time that the agency has been around is also important. And so is the list of companies with whom they have an alliance. You could also find out how many people have really visited the site and have found jobs through them. Job retention statistics should also be looked into. If the company is genuine and good, they will have no hesitation in introducing themselves in detail, with proof validating any claims they might have made. You would also be able to cross check as to how their work is carried on.
If not, then remember there are dark horses on the internet. The company to whom you are submitting your bio-data may not be a genuine one but a facade put up to gather people’s personal information or stealth of identities, leading to scams.
All in all, if you are selective about registering your resume with select reputed recruitment agencies, you have surely taken the first step towards that dream job.
