I am a college senior looking to get into the marketing field. I would like to work in NYC and the entertainment industry really interests me. Does anyone have any advice on some companies in nyc that are more likely to hire (even if it is a paid internship)? Or other places to search for jobs?

Also, the fashion industry slightly interests me and I had a pr internship in this field so that could work too! Thanks!

Job seeking can be a difficult job in itself, especially if you’re not used to it. I was struggling with my job seeking recently until I stumbled upon the site in the box below site which has some superb tips for job seekers. After taking their advice for a couple of weeks I secured myself a superb job.

A lot of us need to raise our income but second jobs won’t work because of the usual restraints on our time. Work, family and many other responsibilities literally devour us. Incessant increases in living cost wipe out our bank accounts, forcing many of us to live from paycheck to paycheck.

Internet marketing can be a answer to this dilemma. Anyone can learn to make a little extra income online. Under these circumstances the convenience of being able to work at home, anytime you want, is very attractive. Many people are already making additional money online. Some are making a full time income. You can too! With the right motivation combined with proper guidance you will see results sooner than you think.

“Were do I start?” you ask. That is the purpose of this article. Proven methods that bring results. No hype here. Internet Marketing is hard work but can be very rewarding. We encourage you to give it a try. Work at your own pace a little each day and you will see results.

When first starting out, an easy way to expose yourself to the IM (internet marketing) world is to sign up for other marketer’s newsletters and free offers. Your in box will start being a source of info to help you get your head wrapped around what IM is all about. Sort your mail or coordinate it in a way that works for you so you can come back to these at a later date for review and ideas.

I personally set up a filter for each newsletter so they skipped my inbox and were directly sorted into folders. This saves a lot of time and allows you to determine what is worth reading and what is just sales pitch and hype.

A dependable Internet Marketer will offer you tips and ideas of value so after saving a group of his news letters you will see an overall pattern of value or worthlessness. Once you determine this you can choose if you will stay subscribed or not.

Down the road if you ever decide to produce your own opt in mailing list for your own IM business these files will be valuable to you. You will have in front of you examples of quality newsletters, tips and offers to model your own list building campaigns after.

A word of caution: Don’t be taken in by every offer that comes along. Proceed cautiously and give yourself some time to sort things out. Remember, if a “deal” sounds to good to be true it probably is. As you study and take note you will be able to discern what is genuine value. There are multiple paths to IM success and this process helps you to determine what is right for you.

IM is hard work and there are no “get rich quick” strategies that actually work. Say away from these scams or you will be robbed of your hard earned money and worse, your valuable time. Pursue your IM education a little each day an you will defiantly see progress

Internet marketing can seem mystifying not only for beginners, but for moderately skilled internet marketers. for more detail go to:www.inside-the-minds-of-winner.com.With all the courses, forums, bogs, reports, seminars and teleconferences available to help people learn how to get traffic to their sites, it is one of the most overwhelmingly dense subjects on the internet.

Unfortunately, and this is perfectly true, most of the advice or “expert” tips are outdated or completely false. Since anyone can publish on the internet, you have a mixed bag of good information followed with much more bad information.

The mysticism of internet marketing is created largely by this glut of some good and mostly bad information. It makes the whole topic SEEM like rocket science when, in fact, much of what was true about internet marketing years ago is true today.

Most people think that since search engine marketing changes every five minutes that ALL internet marketing tactics must have changed as much in the same amount of time. Not true.

The basics, like trading links, article syndication, testimonials, forum signatures, joint ventures, affiliate programs - most work as well today as they did years ago. That is, if you know how to value the work above for what it will truly do for your website traffic.

Funny thing is, no one places much value on the above tactics anymore because there is always some “new” tactic around the corner that claims the death of everything that came before it. And most people blindly follow that advice as if it were true.

Most of the time, this is to the detriment of their internet marketing efforts. The basics are what work all the time and what have always worked on the internet.

You can always experiment with new things, as long as you have not forgotten to do the basics. The basics proven to drive traffic, for more detail go to: www.ultimate-internet-marketing-tricks.com.page rank, link popularity, and branding to your business.

Everything else is just a big experiment until proven to work over time. “Over time” being the operative words. Lots of flash in the pan crack pot schemes work for awhile. But most never stand the test of time.

Links from a widely syndicated article will never fade away, yet I see people chasing down fly-by-night linking pyramid schemes as if they truly believe something like that is a smart thing to base their internet business on!

Tens of thousands have walked away from their dreams, gone back to their depressing, predictable, slave-la! bor jobs never knowing how close they were to actually succeeding.

Good people have left this business proclaiming it an utter lie that any average person can make it with an internet business and an internet marketing plan.

I guess there is truth in that statement. Average people do in fact quit this business before they ever get started because average people fall for tricks and schemes that above average people avoid on their way to success.

If you have read this far, you are probably in the above average category. Why? Because average people would have taken one look at the list of things I mentioned that are the bread and butter of internet marketing and saw nothing but hard work. And they’d be right!

Above average people don’t shy away from work though. I don’t know a single soul (and my rolodex has some of the biggest names in internet marketing in it) who got where they are today without a lot of hard work.

You can succeed in internet marketing if you are not afraid to work, and not constantly tempted by those who say you can succeed without it!

Focus on the basics of internet marketing and stay with them as you try new strategies. We all experiment. But successful internet marketers never leave their bread and butter tactics behind unless they cease to be effective.

Network marketing has been creating wealth for people for over half a century. Hundreds or even thousands of network marketing companies have come and gone over the years. There are many different compensation plans and an infinite amount of products and services sold through networking. And yet the basic premise of networking has remained unchanged since the industry began with Amway. And that premise is that to be successful, you need to talk to hundreds of people each and every week and convince them to buy your product or service and go into business with you. You need to talk to hundreds of people to get a few to say yes. In a nutshell, networking has always been an industry of salesmen. But all that can change with the right Attraction Marketing System.

While it is true that more millionaires are created in the network marketing industry than any other, it is also true that a majority of those who try networking never make any money. The ones that do make money seldom make enough to quit their jobs and only a very small percentage make a good living or get wealthy.

It takes a thick skin to handle the amount of disappointment and rejection networkers experience as they talk to person after person about their product and opportunity only to have the prospect say no. People coming into networking are told to talk to their friends and family and/or to buy leads or run ads and call these prospects cold and try to sell them on the product or opportunity. There are statistics that state that about 80% of people that join a networking company are never properly trained on how to sell. No wonder they fail. And this has been the model for networking for decades. Only those skilled at handling objections and self disciplined enough to keep trying have been able to make significant money. Most people never earn enough to cover their entry costs and they quit disillusioned about the industry as a whole.

With the proliferation of the home computer and the internet, network marketing is on the verge of a major paradigm shift on how to grow a successful home based business. There is a new model for selling your products, services or opportunity. It is called Attraction Marketing. When you learn to use the tools available online, you will never have to cold call again. And because the systems are automated, more people can be successful and provide the same tools for those they recruit to use.

So, just what is Attraction Marketing and how does it work? Attraction Marketing is a totally new approach to sales built upon the premise that people don’t like to be sold anything but they do like to buy things. The National Do Not Call List was created by Congress simply because so many Americans complained about marketers calling their homes trying to sell them something.

Attraction Marketing takes a different approach entirely. Instead of “selling” your prospect, you create information that the type of prospect you are looking for would search for online. You learn how to drive traffic to this information and the prospect has the opportunity to fill in a capture page to request more information. Now the prospect has given you permission to contact them. You learn how to use an auto responder to communicate to the prospect, giving more information each time until they are ready to buy. In a nut shell, you create an automated system to “attract” people who need your product, service or opportunity to you. You don’t talk to them until they are ready to buy.

If you aren’t familiar with Attraction Marketing it is because this is a fairly new approach to networking. It has proven to be a less expensive and certainly a less stressful way to build a network marketing business. You will be hearing more about it. So, if your business is not as profitable as you would like it to be or if you are new to networking, save time and money by implementing Attraction Marketing for your business and see your income grow as you work with people who found you and want to duplicate what you do to earn money.

I want to work in a corporate setting with a group/team. Does anyone know of any job titles that would cover these qualifications and use a marketing degree?
I’m actually not job searching. I’m a student trying to figure out what to major in. I was thinking about marketing and was wondering what types of jobs there are in the field.

Job seeking can be a tricky job in itself, especially if you’re not used to it. I was making heavy weather of with my job seeking in recent times until I uncovered the site in the box below resource which has some fantastic guidance for job hunters. After using their methods for a couple of weeks I got myself myself a fantastic job.

What is the most important aspect of any website? The traffic, right? Sure, you can have a great looking website with plenty of usability and profitable potential, but unless that site is receiving ongoing streams of targeted traffic, nothing will happen. A website is only as good as its ability to generate traffic, and that is why harnessing the power of search engines is such a magnificent thing for website owners to do.

The search engines provide a great way for website owners to drive targeted free traffic ever to their sites. Millions of people search the web every day to find the information that they are seeking, and most of them use search engines to weed through the millions of websites on the internet so that they can find exactly what they need. If you have a website, what better way to get visitors to it than to have them find it through the engines?

Sure it takes time and work to building a search engine optimized website, but the results are well worth it. Once your site gets found, listed, and ranked well, it will get ongoing traffic on complete autopilot and without any advertising costs. And as you continue growing your site, adding new content, and establishing a wider presence on the net, you will enjoy more and more visitors over time. Investing time into a search engine friendly website is well worth it.

When it comes to mastering the search engines, content is king. Content, the information provided throughout your webpages, is the foundation for SEO success. Without adequate content, getting any traffic from the search engines (without paying for it) is practically impossible. The content of your website has a number of valuable jobs. Many people attempt to take shortcuts when it comes time to develop their content, but they do not get the results they want. It can be a lot of work to add plenty of fresh content, but it is essential.

The search engines run on content. They scour the web and go through millions of websites, and then they make it easy for people to find the information they are looking for. The more content you have on your site, the more the search engines will recognize you as a valuable resource. Plus, your visitors want to read unique, informative content, which is why they visits websites to begin with. It total, a website with great content (interesting, informative, relevant, and not duplicated from other sites) will not only be more effective at generating traffic from the search engines, but it will keep people coming back again and again. Great content creates a snowball of traffic that can just continue growing.

You will also need to make use of keywords as you create your webpages. It is best if individual pages use their own unique keywords, or a few at most. You can create content webpages based on all the different keywords you choose to use. Be sure and choose carefully, however, as most webmasters do not take time to research the most profitable keywords. A profitable keyword is one that is both low in competition and high in demand. That means that you want to use search terms that are search often but that are not used on many competing websites.
